Kirsteen Browne

Instructress

Kirsteen commenced physie as a three year old under “Miss Suzie” at Doonside club. Kirsteen took over the reins in 1993 and has overall responsibility for our club, teaching our 3 years to Seniors age groups.

Kirsteen continues to compete in both teams and champion lady events, with her greatest achievement winning back to back Advance Ladies State Grand Championship titles.

Although, Kirsteen says her greatest physie achievement is seeing the improvement, happiness and success of her physie girls. 

Talia Morgan 
(Seniors / Ladies) 

Talia has done physie for 34 years and taught for 10yrs. Out of the 20 years competing at EP, Talia has made the State Grand Finals 19 times and placed 17 times, receiving 3 dance awards, 2 first places plus the ultimate prize of Overall Grand Champion 3 times (2017, 2018, 2020). She has also taught and been in many first place teams from 8yrs to Open Seniors and loves helping teams she works with to hit the floor with confidence. Talia loves teaching the Seniors and Ladies (17yrs and above) to help them improve their poise, posture and physie and promote Edith Parsons School of Physical Culture.

Suzanne Sim

Instructress

Sue started physie when she was 7 years old at Manly St Matthews in 1966 and has continually been involved in Edith Parsons Physical Culture. During her younger days she was a member of numerous 1st place teams and was at Grand as a 1st year & 2nd Year Senior. Since those early days Sue has continued to be an instructress at Physie, taking over the Doonside Physie Club in 1976 to 1983, in 1986 she returned to Physie after a brief absence as a member of the club and then in 2001 took on the role of teaching Ladies classes and assisting with other groups. Sue has been part of Physie for a long period where she has made lasting friendships and is always extremely proud of all our members achieving their personal best.

Lisa Czipri 
(3-6 Years) 

Lisa started with Blacktown City Physie as a 4 year old and is now in the Extended Ladies section. Lisa started her assistant teacher position back in 2014, assisting Sue with the ladies. 2023 saw Lisa take the position of head teacher of our 3-6 year olds which she describes as her greatest physie achievement to date. ‘I’ve been so lucky to perform on the grand stage, but guiding and mentoring our little 3-6 year olds and watching their progress and friendship throughout the year has been something I will always be most proud of. Lisa loves physie as it teaches the foundations of posture, balance and coordination.

Assistant Teachers

Ashleigh Selwood 
(3 – 8 years) 

Ashleigh is in our Open Senior age group and has been doing physie since she was 3 years old. She is a dedicated physie girl who has represented Blacktown multiple times at the state and grand level and recently placed 3rd in the Open Senior section. Ashleigh has been fortunate enough to be a part of multiple winning teams, most recently, winning the 15 & 16 years and Intermediate Seniors with her sister. Ashleigh loves Blacktown Physie because she gets to do Physie every week with her family and friends. Her biggest joy is watching the girls she teaches have fun and make friends.

Courtney Browne 
(9 – 12 years) 

Courtney is in our Open Senior age group and has been doing physie for 20 years. She is a passionate and experienced physie girl who has consistently achieved the highest goal of a physie girl, the State Grand Finals. In 2018 Courtney made it to the State Grand Finals in her first year as an Open Senior, a milestone few accomplish. Courtney is a Primary School teacher, who uses her skills to support, develop and encourage our pre-teen physie girls to achieve their goals. She loves seeing her physie girls grow and improve throughout the year.

Isabelle Hughes 
(9 – 12 years) 

Isabelle is an Open Senior who started physie as a 3 year old. Isabelle is a hardworking and dedicated physie girl who has consistently been at Grand since she started physie. Her greatest results are winning the State Grand Finals and being a part of two championship winning teams. With many years of experience as a competitor, she enjoys sharing her experiences with the girls she teachers. Isabelle loves physie as it is fun and a great way to stay fit and make new friends.

Renee Holland
(13 – 16 years) 

Renee has made her way through the age groups after starting physie at the age of 5 and is now an Advance Lady. Renee has made the State Grand Finals as an Intermediate Senior and Advance Lady, with her greatest achievement placing 6th in 2022 & 2023. Renee has a great love and passion for physie which she passes onto our teenage girls. She especially enjoys watching the young girls and teenagers grow into confident, hardworking, dedicated and successful young ladies. Renee believes that physie brings out the best in everyone and encourages good sportsmanship, fun and friendship.

Celina Tran 
(Ladies) 

Celina commenced her love for physie as a 4 year old at Blacktown City and is now competing in the Open Senior section. Celina has competed at the State Grand Finals and has been a member of many successful teams. She continuously lives the lifelong friendships and support in which Blacktown City has offered.  Recently, Celina joined the teaching ranks, assisting the ladies where she strives to provide the same support to help others achieve their physie dream.
